My name is J.B. I was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease when I was eight years old and have battled it to my current age of 21. The disease affects my digestive tract; giving me stomach aches and sometimes pain upon using the restroom. Most recently, it cost me my lifelong dream of joining the military and I am disqualified from joining. I am currently pursuing an Associates degree in Hospitality Management at Chaffey Community College and I plan on transferring to Cal-Poly Pomona where I’ll achieve my Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management. The Orion Fund Organization has greatly helped me in my pursuit of higher education. The $500 dollar scholarship I have received will help me pay for my classes and necessary textbooks. With all of the chaos regarding COVID-19, the Orion Fund gives me a strong measure of security regarding my education, instead of worrying about how I’ll pay for my classes. To the Orion Fund: you have my deepest thanks and gratitude.
