Meet Karteek who is pursuing Aerospace Engineering at Cal State Long Beach

My name is Karteek, and I’m currently a Master’s student pursuing a degree in Aerospace Engineering from Cal State Long Beach. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering with an emphasis in Astronautics as well which I received from CSU Long Beach as well.

The past 5-6 years for me haven’t been the easiest for me due to my bipolar diagnosis. This has affected my education, profession, and my social life. Not being able to stay consistent with my moods, affected how I would be able to perform on a regular basis. This affected how people would view me, which affected my confidence. 

I would like to thank The Orion Fund for supporting me and giving me a chance to further my education. I believe that education and school plays a critical role in helping people further their prospects into the future, both through connections and knowledge gained inside and outside the classroom. 

I believe that the support that I have received from The Orion Fund will allow me to open up a brighter future for me which is something that I appreciate and respect a lot. Thank you so much for the support!
